Wendy Taylor Wendy A. Taylor's practice focuses on legal and insurance professional liability defense, business litigation, insurance bad faith defense and civil appeals.

Ms. Taylor obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of California at Irvine in 1988. After working as a complex litigation paralegal for several years, Ms. Taylor attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, from which she earned her Juris Doctor, with Distinction, in 1997. While in law school, Ms. Taylor published a Comment on Japanese tort law and served as a Comment Editor for The Transnational Lawyer. Immediately after law school, Ms. Taylor moved to Phoenix, Arizona to clerk for the Hon. Jefferson L. Lankford (Ret.) at Division I of the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Ms. Taylor has been practicing law in the Sacramento area for nearly fifteen years. In addition to her many years defending professionals, she has represented real estate developers and other business owners in contract disputes and fraud actions, contractors in construction defect litigation, business owners in personal property disputes, and businesses engaged in debt collection. She was counsel of record in the published decision titled The Swahn Group, Inc., et al. v. Segal, et al. (2010) 183 Cal.App.4th 831. She joined Hansen, Kohls, Jones, Sommer & Jacob, LLP as a full-time associate in July of 2011.

Ms. Taylor is admitted to practice law in the State of California, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Northern Districts, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the State Bar of California, Women Lawyers of Sacramento and the Sacramento County Bar Association. In addition to practicing law, Ms. Taylor has taught in the paralegal program at MTI College and has been a keynote speaker.
