Christine E. Jacob engages in a civil litigation practice emphasizing professional liability defense and business litigation.

Ms. Jacob obtained an A.B. degree in political science from the University of California, Davis, in 1997. In 2001, Ms. Jacob obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

Ms. Jacob began her civil litigation practice in 2001 as an associate at Curtis & Arata emphasizing primarily insurance defense and business litigation. In January 2003, Ms. Jacob joined the firm of Hansen, Boyd, Culhane & Watson as an associate attorney. In May 2003, the firm of Hansen, Boyd, Culhane & Watson reconstituted itself into the firm now known as Hansen, Kohls, Sommer & Jacob, LLP. Ms. Jacob became an equity partner in January 2008.

Ms. Jacob serves as a Sacramento County delegate for the Conference of Delegates of California Bar Associations. She is also a member of the State Bar of California, the Sacramento County Bar Association, the Placer County Bar Association, California Women Lawyers, and Past President of Women Lawyers of Sacramento.
